Sallie, 2018 - 2023

This is an illustrated story of 86 images and 100 pages of text. Pitbull Sallie survives a hurricane, is rescued, and is then adopted by a New York psychoanalyst. In New York, Sallie struggles. Slowly Sallie meets other animals and makes friends. She learns to listen, to look, to swim, and to dream. Sallie finds meaning in her life and enrolls in school to become a therapy animal to help others.

Sallie Sleeping, Sallie Dreaming 2020-2023

Through 16 drawings, 41 prints and 62 words, this book explores the creative potential of sleep and dreaming. Drawing is a view from outside, a conscious dimension, while printmaking represents the experience from inside, an unconscious process of dreaming.
